Infragard was represented at the Washington Department of Emergency Management Infrastructure Resilience Sub-Committee (IRSC) Quarterly meeting on July 18, 2017. Similar to Infragard, the IRSC is composed of both public and private partners that have an stake in programs that support infrastructure resilience across the state.
During this meeting, the group discussed:
- the Resilient Washington sub-cabinet that has been formed to address 5 recommendations from the 2012 Resilient Washington Report as well as 2 initiatives from the 2017 Cascadia Rising After Action Report.
- the emergency communications systems available in Washington state including the Dept. of Homeland Security’s GETS and WPS services that are available to Infragard members.
- the Infrastructure prioritization survey that is being developed by the Washington State Fusion Center.
